I was thrilled when my very sweet friend Becca sent me a message telling me her family was coming down all the way from North Dakota and wanted to do a photo shoot with me! We met back in the day at good ol’ NDSU in one of our many science classes (microbiology or immunology perhaps?) Now she’s a wife to a good man and momma to two gorgeous babies, who happen to be almost the exact same age as my two girlies. 🙂 Becca is very creative and brought a lot of great ideas to the shoot (including the mirror and Superman pictures featured in this sneak peek). Thanks so much for spending the morning with me! I had so much fun hanging out with you and your sweet family!

The S Kiddos
This shoot was primarily to commemorate little J turning 2 years old. 🙂 I love the fireman outfit his momma put together. And his cool tie shirt, that’s not from etsy, his momma MADE that for him. 🙂 His beautiful big sisters got in on a little photo fun as well! Don’t their beautiful blue eyes just sparkle? I adore their freckles as well, too cute! Thanks S family for having me come over to play, for serenading me with “The Wheels on the Bus” and for being such sweet little subjects for my photography!
C & A: Pajama Party!
I always love it when one of my clients starts a discussion with, “so I have this idea…” While we started this session off with more of my typical portrait style, we ended it with this: a snuggly, wonderful, adorable pajama party on mommy & daddy’s bed! It was a GREAT idea and I adore how these lifestyle pictures turned out! Little C & little A just turned 3 and 1 respectively. I can hardly believe that I took little A’s newborn pictures that long ago…it seems like just a few short months have passed! Thank you P family for another wonderful session. It is always a joy to spend time with you!
Little K: 3 Years Old
Fairies and princesses and sparkles! Oh my! Little K’s momma easily assembled the largest number of adorable outfit changes I have EVER attempted with one of my clients. And we had a ton of success! K was a trooper through it all, letting us do her hair, clip on wings, take off leggings, put on temporary tattoos…it was too fun. 🙂 And if you don’t get the frying pan reference, you absolutely MUST watch the Rapunzel movie Tangled. Here is just a small sampling of the fun we had that morning!
Little K & Little A: 3 years & 1 year
These are MY sweet little girls, my Puddin’ and my Peanut. 🙂 They keep me on my toes, exhaust me, teach me, and bring me more joy than can ever be understood…often all at the same time. 😉 Most days I can hardly believe my eyes that I have two beautiful little girls that are MINE (well I suppose I do have to share them with their daddy…) Many thanks to my generous friend Kristy for letting me use her front room as a “studio” for the morning, it has such amazing light!
